Frequently Asked Questions
How could I have used this much water?
Remember, the bill you are getting is from the month before, if you are getting a bill that's due January 15, that reading is from November through December. Did you have any problems then, a running/ leaking toilet, birthday party, anything that could have caused you to use more water than usual. Take a reading from your meter and compare it to what's on your bill. If those numbers are over what was read, you may have a problem.
My bill is past due can I get an extension?
Please contact our office
What do I do if I am experiencing low pressure?
Check your meter, if it's turning when no one is using water in your home, you have a problem. Check the surrounding area for possible leaks. Next, call our office and report low pressure for your area.
Why do I have a previous balance when I know I sent in my payment?
We may have received your payment after the due date or we may not have received a payment at all. Call your bank or check you statement to see if you check or credit card transaction cleared your account. If it has cleared, we need a copy of the transaction so we can research. If you paid with cash, we need the receipt from that transaction.
Why is my water discolored?
There could have been a break on the system causing the water to be yellow or brown. Once the repair is complete, the workers will also flush the lines to clear out the problem.
If you have white/ milky water, it could be due to air in the line, this will clear up once the air leaves your lines.
When can my water be turned on once I put my deposit?
No later than the next day. If you come and put your deposit before noon, sometimes, we can get it on the same day.
If you are having a meter installed, once everything is set up, you will give us a call so we can inspect and unlock the meter.
Why does it take so long to get a meter installed?
It may not take that long, but there is a process. Most importantly, we have to get all the utilities marked, that takes up to two business days. We may have to place an order to get the proper supplies. Of course, the weather is one of the biggest factors, and emergencies that can occur on the system need to be taken care of as soon as possible.
